Membership in Kiwanis is open to men and women who are interested in helping the community and other people. Kiwanians come from many backgrounds and industries. They are corporate officers, managers, small business owners, and self-employed professionals. They are young individuals embarking on careers, successful executives, and active retirees.
A person may be accepted as a member of the club either by sponsorship of a current member or by means of a transfer or referral from another club. All that is necessary is a willingness to attend meetings, work on projects, and help make a difference in the community.
Your Membership Fee includes a Kiwanis t-shirt to wear when you’re serving, your name badge, and covers insurance for you while a member.
Members serving in schools must also complete a GISD Volunteer Background Check before being allowed to serve on a school campus.
Members also pay Club Dues which help cover administrative costs throughout the year as well as your Membership Renewal.
